An Overview:
In this book Three to Get Deadly, Stephanie Plum has everyone working against her as she tries to bring in a man many think is a hero in the community.

This third installment of the Stephanie Plum numbers series has Stephanie taking on everyone in "the burg". The Lingerie buyer turned bounty hunter has taken on the case of Mo Bedemier, better known to everyone in the neighborhood as Uncle Mo. Uncle mo is a candy shop owner in town, who did not show up for a court appearance for carrying a concealed weapon.

Since he's violated his bond, she is supposed to bring him in. The only problem is that no one wants her to be able to do her job. She is given dirty looks and rude comments from everyone she asks about him as she tries to track him down. She is even threatened by men in ski masks to leave Mo alone.

As she watches what is happening at his candy shop, trying to snag him, she is attacked and knocked out. When she comes to, she realizes she is not alone. Beside her is the dead body of a drug dealer. In a nearby dumpster is another, and there are even more once she heads inside the candy store. Uncle Mo it seems is a vigilante who has taken it upon himself to rid the streets of drug dealers.

In addition to the wild case she is on, we meet a great new character in this novel, Lulu. Lulu is a former street worker, now a file clerk, who knows what's happening around town and teams up with Stephanie to help her out as a way to get out of the office.

The old gang is back in this book as well, including the ever-handsome Joe Morelli, Ranger, the stealthy and hunky bounty hunter who is teaching her the ropes, and Grandma Mazur who is always trying to take on the case herself.

The Narration:
Lori Petty is the voice of this book. Her sharp Jeresy-sounding accent seems to suit the characters of this book well, but can be a little overbearing at times.
