First I’d like to give you a quick update on Audible’s Tournament of Audiobooks. The last two books are The Help by Kathryn Stockett and The Gathering Storm by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson.

Both of these have been huge fan favorites. Check in and vote for your favorite to win!

Decoding Reality: The Universe as Quantum Information by Vlatko Vedral, narrated by Jay Russell. Does the title worry you? It seems pretty heavy, but I love to read books that expand my mind.

This book considers the nature of information and quantum behavior. I have no idea what that means, but apparently Vedral then tries to explain where all the information in the universe came from. I respect him for even thinking of the question.

Audio book:Decoding Reality by Vlatko VedralUs: Transforming Ourselves and the Relationships that Matter Most written and read by Lisa Oz. This sounds more my speed… The author is the wife of TV host Dr. Mehmet Ox and is a radio talk show host. This self-help book deals with how to be in relationships with others including family, friends, and God. I’m not sure I need this advice, but it might be worth a listen.

Contested Will: Who Wrote Shakespeare? By James Shapiro, read by Wanda McCaddon. Apparently every couple of decades, somebody challenges the authorship of plays attributed to William Shakespeare. This book attempts to figure out where the doubts stem from and who really wrote those incredible plays. Finally! Now this one I would very much like to read!

“Not to be listened to while dining”

What’s Eating You? People and Parasites by Eugene H. Kaplan, narrated by Dennis Holland. Apparently Kaplan has traveled all over the world doing interesting things while also gaining interesting parasites in his intestines. Yes, that’s right. Ew. Not to be listened to while dining, this book describes a variety of parasites and just what they will do to you, should you be unfortunate enough to encounter them.

When I Stop Talking, You’ll Know I’m Dead: Stories from a Persuasive Man by Jerry Weintraub and Rich Cohen with a foreword by George Clooney, read by the author. Jerry Weintraub is a Hollywood producer who worked his way from the Bronx to Hollywood. This is the story of his successes from working with Elvis Presley to George Clooney. I have a feeling this one will have some interesting Hollywood stories. I’m in!
