The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook is a look at a lot of things that will hopefully never happen in your life, but if they did will equip you to be able to deal with them and possibly make it through alive and intact.
Have you ever considered what you would do if you found yourself in a sword fight? What about if you were in a plane and something happened to the pilot leaving you responsible for landing it. And what would you do if you happened to find yourself sinking in quicksand? These are the type of worst case scenarios that the The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook deals with.
Not only does it tell you what it would be like to find yourself in this situation, but also you will be given step by step help to get out of such an uncomfortable mess. The truth about this book is that I did not take on listening to it thinking I will be attacked by an alligator or find myself in a situation where I am falling through the air with a parachute that will not open.
I looked at this as something that would be fun and interesting to listen to and hear about all the kinds of situations that I would hopefully never find myself involved in. The more is listened to the book, however, the more I became intrigued by many of the situations it discussed and how I would get out of them if I were to ever find myself in them. In many cases I found myself wondering how anyone even contemplated being in these situations and figured out a way out of them.
I of course am hoping I still never have to use any of the information I have learned, but it was a lot of fun to learn it!
Burt Reynolds was the narrator for this book. Since I am a great Burt Reynolds fan, I was an easy sell here. He’s a great reader with good personality and emphasis in his voice. I found him easy to listen to and enjoyable.
