Whether you are a long-time business owner, starting a new endeavor, or just have a dream of becoming an entrepreneur, you can get valuable hints and tips for your enterprise by listening to business audio books. By downloading your favorite titles and playing them while you garden, drive, exercise or do chores, you can take advantage of the wisdom available from some the greatest authors in the business world while following your daily routine.

Here are just a few examples of the business- and industry-related titles that can be found as audio books with an online rental.

Online Business:

If you are interested in tapping into the vast earning potential of the World Wide Web, you will find plenty of audio titles that explore the subject. You may want to hear Kaching: How to Run an Online Business that Pays and Pays by Joel Comm or Marketing in the Moment by Michael Tasner, which has the intriguing subtitle The Practical Guide to Using Web 3.0 Marketing to Reach Your Customers First.

Marketing:

If you already own a business and are interested in making it grow, you will want to get some marketing help from people who have been successful with their own ventures. John Jantsch wrote and narrated The Referral Engine: Teaching Your Business to Market Itself and shares some of his best strategies for getting your customers to carry out your marketing chores for you.

Power marketer Dave Lakhani wrote Subliminal Persuasion: Influence and Marketing Secrets They Don’t Want You to Know. In it, he explores ways to discover what will appeal to your customers and how to communicate it in an honest, engaging way to benefit your bottom line. By listening to titles like these, you no longer have to struggle to find the time to read. Audio books online make it easy for you to become a mulch-tasker, learning while you carry out your day by day responsibilities.

Biographies:

Studying the lives of successful business people is a good way to learn effective strategies for your own pursuits. Listening to a book like The Snowball: Warren Buffett and the Business of Life or iCon Steve Jobs: The Greatest Second Act in the History of Business will surely give you food for thought. Contributors to an audiobooks forum give these titles consistently high marks.

Current Thinking:

If you want to be up-to-date on the latest trends in business, what better way than by listening to excerpts from the Harvard Business Review? Articles from this stellar publication are regularly read by professional narrators and released in digital format. The result: you can choose individual titles that pique your interest and last anywhere from 20 to 90 minutes, or you can subscribe to the complete Review for an entire year or on a month-by-month basis.

No matter which way you decide to approach it, your business can benefit from the use of audio books.

A most splendid source of business audiobooks is the Bardowl app for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. There’s a great selection of titles looking at all aspects of running a business (management, plan writing, sales, marketing and son on) as well some of the famous For Dummies books. There are also more popular or mainstream but still business related titles like Freakonomics and The Big Short.
