An Overview:
Full House is an early work by Janet Evanovich with writer Charlotte Hughes. It’s a romance novel that follows the relationship of a newspaper owner and a divorcee, but leaves some to be desired for an impact.

Main Body:
If you are looking for a romantic escape, Full House may be the place to get it. This is one of the early Janet Evanovich books written under her alias of Steffie Hall.

The story surrounds a number of chance meetings between Nick Kaharcheck, who is the owner of a newspaper and Billie Pearce who wants to play polo at his stables. It turns out that she is no good at the game but Kaharcheck thinks the divorcee is adorable and wants to get to know her better.

He gets that chance when a horse steps on her foot, as he runs to her aid and tries to help take care of her. Then things get weird. He wants to have someone around to take care of her and that person is his cousin Deedee, who is a little crazy. There are also a number of other odd characters that come into play to make this as much like a freak show as a romance novel.

This novel is collaboration between Evanovich and writer Charlotte Hughes. It was originally written back in 1989. Once Evanovich became more popular it was re-released with her real name as well as the pen name she used in this initial printing.

This was not my favorite of these books. While I can enjoy a good romance book as much as the next person, this one just seemed to be a revolving door of weird characters that kept coming in and out of each scene. The romance was too obvious from the beginning and I was left thinking it could have been so much better.

The Narration:
Lorelei King is an accomplished voice artist and her take on Janet Evanovich’s novels are enjoyable. Unfortunately, the novel itself was not as enjoyable as I would have liked it to be, but that does not reflect on the voice artist.
