Audio Book CouponsMore Great Titles This Month! What Will You Be Reading?

I’m not sure if this was a glitch, but a friend of mine said that the Macmillan content was erased from her Kindle device. I know that Amazon has suspended sales of Macmillan content in all formats, but I thought they had learned their lesson when they pulled 1984 7 months ago.

Current signs indicate that Amazon will cave to Macmillan’s pricing flexibility demands for eBooks. Luckily, Audible continues to offer audiobooks from Macmillan.

Worst Case by James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge, narrated by Bobby Cannavale, John Glover, Orlagh Cassidy. Patterson, an author that seems to release a couple of books per month, strikes again with Worst Case. I will refrain from making a snide remark about the title and his penchant for co-authored work. Anyway, this thriller features NY detective Michael Bennett and FBI agent Emily Parker, working to find the kidnapped children of wealthy couples. While I’m sure it’s a fast-paced thriller, you know that I’ve given up on Patterson…

Secrets of Eden: A Novel by Chris Bohjalian, narrated  by Mark Bramhall, Susan Denaker, Rebecca Lowman, and Kathe Mazur. Bohjalian’s novels are always riveting. I absolutely loved The Double Bind and Midwives. When Alice Hayward’s husband shoots her and then kills himself, the community, including Alice’s minister, must deal with the fallout. I can’t wait…

Point Omega: A Novel by Don DeLillo, read by Campbell Scott. Bestselling author DeLillo takes a look at Richard Elster, a scholar involved with government war planners. This author never fails to look at things in new and unique ways.

Gator A-Go-Go: A Novel by Time Dorsey, read by Oliver Wyman. Vigilante serial killer Serge has been featured in 12 of Dorsey’s popular novels. In this one, Serge goes on spring break to protect a college student targeted by drug dealers. I haven’t read any of these, but you have to admit, it sounds interesting.

Thunder Point by Jack Higgins, narrated by Christian Rodska. The elusive terrorist from Higgins’ Eye of the Storm is saved from a firing squad to work for the British government. Fans of spy novels love Higgins. I’ve never warmed to his books, but I understand the appeal.
