Audio Book New Releases | U is for Undertow by Sue Grafton and More!

Happy Thanksgiving! Usually, I discuss the bestseller lists, but this week the list was pretty much at a steady state.

Rather than bore you with books I have already mentioned, I thought I would take a peek at what’s coming up in audiobooks for December.

U is for Undertow by Sue Grafton (read by Judy Kaye) Grafton has taken her detective, Kinsey Millhone, through the alphabet as she faces mystery after mystery. This entry moves between the 80s and the 60s, with varying viewpoints woven together.

Honestly, I gave up on this series around the letter L. I know many people who continue to love the characters, but I found myself becoming a little bored…

Santa, Baby by Jennifer Crusie (narrator unknown) Chick lit fans will rejoice as they read this hot and spicy holiday tale. Included with Crusie’s novella are Christmas themed works from Lori Foster and Carly Phillips. Looking for a light, romantic holiday read? This looks like a good option.

Mona Lisa Overdrive by William Gibson (narrator unknown) This is a reissue of a 1997 novel from award winning author, Gibson. The sci-fi novel pushes the limits of cyberspace and presents a thriller that sounds completely unique. This sounds like an edge-of-your-seat kind of read.

The Disciple by Stephen Coonts (read by Eric G. Dove) The latest entry in the Tommy Carmellini Series takes on a group of Iranian dissidents and the potential for nuclear disaster. If espionage is your thing, this sounds like a cutting edge topical thriller.

Too Much Money by Dominick Dunne (narrator unknown) Gus Bailey is a high society journalist that has landed in hot water after he falls for a fake story from an unreliable source. The slander suit that ensues, coupled with the novel he is writing, place him in a precarious position. Dominick Dunne was a genius.

I’m sure this is one worth reading.
