Catching Fire: Hunger Games, Book 2 by Suzanne Collins (read by Carolyn McCormick. My son just finished reading a copy of Hunger Games from the library.
He loved it so much (and this is a kid who is a reluctant reader) that he bought a copy so that everyone in the family will read it.
Needless to say, I picked this title for him up as soon as I could. This is the second entry in a trilogy that takes place in a futuristic, fascist US.
In Hunger Games, the protagonist, Katniss, must participate in a fight to the death on live television. In this entry, readers are again taken on a journey through districts in preparation for 75th Annual Hunger Games.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson (narrated by Saul Reichlin) This is the first book in a trilogy by deceased author Stieg Larsson.
The murder mystery involves journalist hired to investigate the 40 year old disappearance of a young daughter of a wealthy family. I recently purchased this one and can’t wait to read it!
The Spire by Richard North Patterson (read by Holter Graham) I always look forward to Richard North Patterson’s novels. This one is billed as a tale of psychological suspense.
A stellar trial lawyer returns to his alma mater to assist the professor who helped him through law school. His personal history and new obligations put him in a very precarious situation. This one is on my hold list for the library.
206 Bones: A Novel by Kathy Reichs (read by Linda Emond) You may recall that I was reading this selection as I submitted last week’s list of bestsellers. The forensic thriller starts out with Tempe Brennan (the protagonist of the series) waking up in a dark, closed, cold place with no knowledge of how she got there.
Unfortunately, this entry in the Bones ends up as more of a lecture on the science behind the story than on the story itself.
