Audible Modern Vanguard Brings Landmark Works to Audio Books

In a move appreciated by audiobook listeners everywhere, Audible.com has a new collection: Audible Modern Vanguard.

The collection, released this week, includes 34 titles and will continue to expand.

A New Look at Innovative Authors:

Audible Modern Vanguard is offering works by 20th century literary innovators like Kurt Vonnegut, Philip Roth, and Betty Friedan.

Many of these titles have never before been available in audio format. The new collection is presented by Atlas & Co. exclusively at Audible.com. Each literary piece is accompanied by recorded author interviews and discussion of authors and their groundbreaking works.

John Irving’s A Prayer for Owen Meany, one of my personal favorites, is narrated by Earphones Award Winner Joe Barrett. This download is accompanied by a candid interview with the author.
